Vasile Buciuman-Coman
Senior Intranet Consulting Architect

Founder of eSkill, an online testing service, Vasile’s current practice focuses on the enterprise architecture and the way it is applied in practice. He holds a degree in Aeronautical Engineering and has more than 15 years experience in the IT industry. He held technical, consulting and management positions with companies like Spyglass, eSkill, Instrumentation Lab, Cigna, and PRTM. From 1990 through 2006, Vasile developed the Dynamically Stable Enterprise, an advanced enterprise architecture concept, that draws from his knowledge in aeronautics, software development, and management consulting. A very short summary of this theory was published for the first time by MK Press and BPMG in the book "In Search of BPM Excellence".

While working at Spyglass, in 1995, Vasile was awarded by Doug Colbeth, the CEO at that time, the first place out of 25 entries, in an internal competition for the "best business ideas that would use the Internet architecture". The proposed application described for the first time a layered, process-centric, server-side architecture, more advanced than even today's latest J2EE standard. More recently, at PRTM, Michael McGrath made the following comment in an email on an early version of the Dynamically Stable Enterprise concept: "The most advanced work on this [it refers to an Integrated Process Architecture] was done by Vasile before he left. He really took it to the next level and incorporated my previous thinking." Raymond B. Wells, a former Chief Technology Officer and VP for the IBM Software Group's application integration and middleware division had this to say regarding an early version of the DSE: "This is far more advanced than anything IBM had ever created in this field".
